
The National Youth Band of Canada (NYB) showcases a national representation of outstanding young band musicians through community collaboration and performance that celebrates band pathways and traditions. Since 1994, NYB has provided an opportunity for 16-22 year old musicians to gather for an enriching and inspiring musical and cultural experience.

2026 Conductor Posting
The Canadian Band Association (CBA) is seeking a conductor for NYB 2026, scheduled to take place in Alberta from May 17-23, 2026.
Position responsibilities include:

Selecting and supplying repertoire, including Canadian content and representative of the diversity of NYB participants

Establishing educational, engaging, positive rehearsal and concert environments

Following the 2026 NYB Schedule as provided by NYB management
